Hey guys, i have an a sedan that is channelled 6 inches and i want to run a steering box mounted on top of the frame with an arm that swings down,. I just bought a 30 ford truck and have some question about my build. So far i have welded in front and rear crossmembers , removed the center crossmember , built a new center crossmember/tranny mount , boxed the frame , motor mounts for a sbc , mount for vega steering box , and brake pedal/master cylinder mount. Hmmm, i left my hairpins on, never tuned 'em. Pete & jake came out with their 4 bars with the selling point of using factory chevrolet panhard bar rubber bushings. I'm doing another original model a ford frame right now. You can't really go wrong using/copying any of the parts and methods from the pete & jakes line. I have the prototype on my 39 sedan. Are those rally wheels the wheels you eventually intend to use? would be an odd choice. Pete kept asking people with wishbone fronts and cowl steering to jump up and down on their spreader bars and video the steering wheel (bump steer) but nobody ever did it
